Eligibity & Instructions

The Intimate Apparel Awards 2009 recognizes intimate apparel brands & retails that have shown leadership and noteworthy achievement in intimate apparel industry. The Awards will be given under two primary segments i.e. Small Format Stores and Large Format Stores. Each of these segments shall compete at National level.

Definition:

Small Format Stores (SFS): Small format stores include Stand alone multi-brand stores.
Large Format Stores (LFS): Large format stores include Departmental Stores, Hypermarkets, Value Stores, Exclusive Brand Outlets and Intimate Apparel Chain Stores.
Northern Zone: States covered are Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Chandigarh and Delhi
Southern Zone: States covered are Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and Pondicherry
Eastern Zone: States covered are Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Tripura, Manipur, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Mizoram, West Bengal, Orissa, Bihar and Jharkhand
Western Zone: States covered are Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Goa

Eligibility:
All nominees should:

  • For Small Formats: 50 % of your product mix has to comprise of Lingerie, Men’s Innerwear, Nightwear, Loungewear, and/or Swimwear.
  • Form Large Formats: Average space allocated to Intimate Apparel should not be less than 500 sq. Ft.
  • Have been in operation for at least 2 full years except for the Category Most Promising Retailer, where the Store / Company should be in operation for 0 – 2 years.
  • Maintain the highest standard of ethical and moral behaviour.
  • Demonstrate innovation in sales and marketing strategies and operational management.

Nomination Procedure
You are required to fill in the self nomination form of Intimate Apparel Award 2009. In order to be considered for judging, this form must be duly completed, including all pertinent information about the nominated store/company in order to qualify for the awards.

Selection Process
The selection process of Intimate Apparel Awards 2009 involves a nationwide industry poll and retailer’s self-nomination followed by detailed performance assessment by Inner Secrets and IAA 09 Knowledge Partner Technopak. Inner Secrets Intimate Retail Awards 2009 finalists and winners will be determined by eminent jury appointed by the organisers.

General Instructions
Any information, documentation, pictures or marketing materials submitted to the organisers for the Intimate Apparel Awards 2009 may be used by Peppermint Communications in their magazine, website, literature and/or for marketing Intimasia or Inner Secrets.

Winners
Award winners for each category will be announced at Intimasia 2009 Gala Night Event.

DEADLINE for IAA ‘09 nominations is November 30, 2008. Forms must be received by this date, no exceptions will be made. Forms will not be returned.
